Merseyside Special Investment Fund provides loans and equity packages from £3,000-£4million to businesses based in or prepared to relocate to Merseyside. Almost all sectors are eligible and we will look at start-ups, expansions, MBOs, MBIs, acquisitions, mergers and rescue.

MSIF’s Liverpool Seed Fund is a £27m fund designed to harness the potential of intellectual property, technology, ideas and innovation in early stage businesses. It is thought to be one of the largest funds of its kind in Europe.

Seed funding can support three stages of development: proof of concept (£50,000 to £100,000) commercialisation (up to £350,000) and first round venture capital (up to £750,000).

Companies supported by the Liverpool Seed Fund can access a range of benefits specifically designed to help early stage businesses during and after the investment process.

Liverpool Ventures provides specialist management support services to businesses backed by The Liverpool Seed Fund and also provides assistance with applications to the Fund.
